Yellow Truck

Yellow Truck

FARM RAISED

Growing up on a farm laid the foundation to how I see the world - and eventually, how to run a business. One of the biggest lessons it taught me? That what seems simple on the surface often has a whole lot of grit, labor, and love behind it. Take a potato, for instance.

PAWPAW'S TRUCK

The yellow truck played a surprisingly crucial role in growing a good one. Before planting, the soil had to be just right - rich, healthy, and full of nutrients. My Pawpaw would use the truck to fertilize the fields, giving the land what it needed to grow a strong crop. I have early memories of riding along with my dad - no A/C, windows down, dust swirling in the cab, bouncing near out of the old bench seat as we hit every rut on the farm. The next step was rain. Rain was everything back then. We prayed for it, and when it came, things grew

BUILDING THE BRAND

Now, years later, behind the wheel of SpurWest, I often think about how similar the process is. Building a brand - just like growing a crop - takes preparation, patience, and a whole lot of behind-the-scenes work. There’s designing, sourcing, marketing, late nights, early mornings - and still, we pray for a little “rain.” Only now, that rain might look like a viral moment on social media, or a new retailer picking up our collection.

When the rain comes, we grow. And we get to share more of our western-inspired jewelry with the world. Our Mini Belt Buckle Necklace might look like a simple accessory - but just like a potato fresh from the field, it’s the product of so much care and effort. Each piece carries with it the values I learned back on that farmland: hard work, dedication, resourcefulness, and a little bit of rain.

ENJOY THE RIDE

We’re grateful to have you along for the ride. Whether you found us on TikTok or heard about us through a friend, thank you for supporting what we do here at SpurWest. We’re just getting started - and the yellow truck still reminds me that dusty roads often lead somewhere beautiful.
